Cagey, also known as Karen (Prig to some, Garry to others) shot into the world with her arms and legs flailing and has been running around on sugar and coffee ever since. She grew up in Calgary, Canada and learned that doodling in the margins of notebooks kept her occupied in school and drawing on napkins kept her sitting in one place, out of school. She moved to Montreal and studied English Literature and Creative Writing and learned that marking up bathroom stalls kept her amused while peeing and drawing on buildings made walking more fun. She then headed to Korea where she stopped drawing on public property (for the most part) and taught herself how to draw on computers. Six years later she crossed oceans again, landing in Vancouver where the cats are friendly and where rumour has it, it hardly rains in the summer. She spends her time adjusting to the crisp mountain air, pondering why galleries in north America still ask for slides (in the year 2006 no less!), reading comic books and riding her bicycle while listening to music and singing out loud.
She can converse in English, French and Korean.
She is currently in the planning process of her very own graphic novel (fingers crossed) and is always up for more projects.
